This is our barrel team. We are all members of Black Sea Shines, a Missouri start up distillery. Several years ago when we were perfecting our craft and bourbon we experimented  with European white oak for aging. These cooperages serviced the wine industry, but we were adventurous. We loved the flavor profile it imparted. Accordingly, over these years we cultivated relations with these European cooperages to supply our needs. When we started operations in Missouri we found the barrel market to be very tight and we saw this as an opportunity to connect these quality cooperages with the US market and help keep these traditions strong.
